Alison Heath
Alison Heath has been involved with horses in some form or another since she was eight years old. Alison grew up in New England and took lessons and leased horses, caring for them daily. She began showing as an adult, first on borrowed horses and later her own animals.
A love of horses runs deep for Alison, who has worked on a breeding farm, managed the day-to-day dealings, as well as the travel requirements of a top “A” circuit show barn and wrote for the magazine, The Chronicle of the Horse, while she interned there.
Alison fully understands the economic challenge the sport of horseback riding presents and is working to instill the sense of gratitude and accomplishment that comes from arduous work in her oldest daughter, Riley.
Marriage and a move to the west coast prompted her to begin teaching and riding professionally. Alison can today be found competing in the 3’6” Amateur Owner Hunter divisions aboard her mare, Classical. The pair have found success together from coast to coast.
